VIDEO – Drawing Now: 3 Stories on Time. Ignacio Uriarte

12 May 2022

In conjunction with Time Lines, a hybrid project comprised of three online exhibitions and several online and offline collateral events, we are presenting a series of three videos about the drawing practices of Ignacio Uriarte, Raluca Popa and Răzvan Anton, respectively. The first episode coincides with the online exhibition Time Lines: Ignacio Uriarte, now live.

In Drawing Now: 3 Stories on Time. Ignacio Uriarte, the artist talks about the repetitive gestures that are the cornerstone of his work, his interest in sequences and movement, and the characteristics that make drawing such a powerful artistic medium for him.

The online exhibitions Time Lines will continue with:

Raluca Popa: 30 May – 10 July

Răzvan Anton: 11 July – 21 August

This series of Viewing Rooms, curated by Mihaela Chiriac, focuses on the ways in which Ignacio Uriarte, Raluca Popa and Răzvan Anton combine the immediacy and directness of the drawn line with the temporality embedded in slow or labour-intensive processes of artistic production.
