Raluca Popa in online exhibition at MG+MSUM
Raluca Popa is taking part with her most recent film, Magician (2019), in the online exhibition Viral Self-Portraits – open on the website of MG+MSUM/Moderna galerija + Museum of Contemporary Art.
The museum in Ljubljana started to think about this online exhibition during the lockdown. They first contacted 23 curators across the globe to invite five artists each to submit self-portraits; 100 international artists responded.
Rather than literal images of artists’ faces, the focus was on works that show “forces currently (co)shaping our subjectivities, forces of a reality that is today full of unknowns due to the pandemic”, as the museum explains.
Watch now Raluca Popa’s film.
