Pavel Brăila and Raluca Popa at the Art Encounters Biennial 2025

11 June 2025

Works by Pavel Brăila and Raluca Popa are on view at the Art Encounters Biennial in Timișoara, between May 30 and July 13, 2025.

Titled ‘Bounding Histories. Whispering Tales’, this year’s edition (curators: Ana Janevski and Tevž Logar) features over 60 international artists and activates three exhibition venues — the Garrison Command (a former military building), FABER (a repurposed factory), and the Art Encounters Foundation (a former kindergarten)—as living witnesses to the city’s social, cultural, and political transformations.

Pavel Brăila’s works commissioned by Art Encounters — The Moment of Truth Has Arrived and 12 new pieces in the series Times When News Is Faster Than Bullets —, as well as Raluca Popa’s object Poem and her works on paper based on a personal archive of school test papers can be seen at the Garrison Command.
