Museum exhibition: Damir Očko, ‘Human Scale’

12 September 2019

A large-scale solo exhibition, Damir Očko’s Human Scale is on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb this autumn (12 September – 14 November 2019).

The show brings together five films by Damir Očko in which bodily figures indicate interactions between the society of control and the violence it produces: SPRING (2012), TK (2014), Third Degree (2015), DICTA I (2017) and DICTA II (2018). The “human scale” in the title points to the vulnerability and transience of corporeality, the feelings of insecurity and uncertainty.

Also included in the exhibition are constellations of music scores and preparatory and documentary material for individual films, offering an insight into the process of artistic creation, as well as collages, sound installations and artist books.
