viennacontemporary 2018

The solo presentation of Răzvan Anton at viennacontemporary 2018 brought together a selection of new ‘tracing studies’ (drawings) and ‘fading studies’ (sun prints made with blue ball pen) that are part of the artist’s research based on the Minerva Press Photo Archive. This remarkable collection of photography contains images captured by photojournalists at the dailies Făclia and Igazság from Cluj (Romania) between 1960 and 1990, thus documenting a significant period of the communist era.
