Granpalazzo 2017

A selection of drawings by Mircea Stănescu were shown at Palazzo Rospigliosi during the two-day exhibition event Granpalazzo 2017, which involved a small group of artists supported by international galleries whose practices stand out in terms of high-level curatorship and the creation of a market of their own in spite of the trends of the moment.

Curator Liviana Dan on Mircea Stănescu’s drawings: “A personal psychology and an imaginative state support the Image as an archive / drawings from the ‘90s, narrative explorations, of social order, about people, state of mind, matter / as well as the Image as a Flow  / a series of drawings having as support a Louis Vuitton agenda from 2015, with its gold, its comfort and its ambivalent luxury.”
