Art Brussels 2019

At Art Brussels 2019, Discovery section, Gaep presented a solo booth of Felipe Cohen, whose practice originates in the tension created by the “conflict” between the tradition of avant-gardes and the contemporary forms of arranging the art object.

The Brazilian artist investigates the construction of space from the perspective of pure and perfectly arranged forms. His works are clean, exact and volumetric and often merge long-lasting, strong materials such as stone, marble or wood with fragile and ephemeral mediums like glass, paper and moving image.
